1. How do I install the DuPont™ Self-Charging Smoke Alarm?
Please follow instructions included in the product manual included with this product. Consider using a qualified electrician if you are unfamiliar with:
1. Installing a wiring box & mounting plate
2. Connecting wires
3. Installing and testing the alarm

2. How does the self-charging feature work?
The DuPont™ Self-Charging Smoke Alarm features an internal self-charging power pack that recharges as it feeds off the home’s electricity and requires the light to be on for just 2 hours per week to remain fully charged

3. If I lose power—will my alarm still work?
The DuPont ™ Self-Charging Smoke Alarm is designed to operate for 30 days on a fully charged power pack electrical power.

4. What is the warranty on this product?
The DuPont™ Self-Charging Smoke Alarm has a 10 year limited warranty. A copy of the full warranty is available in the enclosed product manual . The warranty is NOT a performance claim. Like all smoke alarms, the DuPont™ Self-Charging Smoke Alarm SC202 should be replaced every 10 years as recommended by Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL217).
