Installation and Care

Installation and care for the DuPont Home Safety products are simple. Always read the product manual before use.

Installation

DuPont™ Self-Charging Smoke Alarm (screw-in) (PS131)

  • Select a ceiling light socket that is within 8.5 inches of the ceiling
  • Remove light bulb from socket and screw in the smoke alarm
  • Remove ribbon
  • Re-install light bulb into smoke alarm
  • Test from the light switch

DuPont™ Self-Charging Smoke Alarm (easy wire) (SC202)

  • Install wiring box & mounting plate
  • Connect wires.
  • Install alarm
  • Test
  • Always read the manual for SC202 before use.

DuPont™ Carbon Monoxide Alarm (CO 808) and DuPont™ Carbon Monoxide Alarm (CO 828) with display.

  • Always read the manual for CO808 and CO828 before use.
