Engineering Material Technologies for Automotive Electrical/Electronic Components Author: R Hayashi, DuPont Engineering Polymers
Abstract:
With the rapid increase of electrical and electronic systems in today’s automotive vehicle has created demand for step change improvement in engineering materials. The improvements in polymeric materials that are needed are driven by the trends of globalization, reduced packaging size, improved quality and system reliability, and standardization of testing regimes such as USCAR requirements for auto connectors. This presentation will review how these trends drive new needs for polymeric materials and how DuPont, as a leading technology innovator, is supplying new materials for automotive electrical and electronic components.
