AC conversions made simple. DuPont™ ISCEON® MO59 was one of the earliest R-22 replacement refrigerants on the market, and continues to be used effectively in some applications, such as AC conversions.

ISCEON® MO59 (R-417A) is a non-ozone-depleting HFC retrofit refrigerant blend, and is typically used in AC conversions to replace R-22 in direct expansion stationary air conditioning and medium-temperature refrigeration systems. ISCEON® MO59 has a significantly lower discharge temperature than R-22, which may prolong the life of the compressor.
In some systems ISCEON® MO59 provides the required cooling capacity. However, after some AC conversions, the system will likely experience reduced capacity greater than 15%. For a closer match to R-22, consider using ISCEON® MO99™.
