DuPont™ Interra™ ceramic thick films are used to embed discrete capacitors within multilayer printed circuit boards. These high dielectric constant (>2000) capacitors are used to replace surface mount components to save board space and cost. For flip-chip packages, they help to reduce power supply noise by bringing the decoupling capacitors closer to the silicon die.
Using an innovative process to integrate high-K ceramic dielectrics into traditional low-cost printed circuit board fabrication, these products provide a broad range of values with high capacitance density and excellent stability and reliability.
