A new, cost-effective DuPont™ KEVLAR® aramid pulp was introduced recently at the eighth International Technical Exchange and Products Exhibition on friction and sealing materials in Beijing, hosted by the China Friction and Sealing Materials Association.

The new aramid pulp, also referred to as New China Pulp, or NCP-01, was displayed in public for the first time at the exhibition which drew more than 10,000 visitors.

“Growth in China is important because global manufacturers and suppliers are establishing operations there,” said James R. Weigand, Global Business Director, DuPont Advanced Fiber Systems. “We believe that China is going to be the future global production center for brake pads.”
