DuPont Liqui-Box Announces Price Increase in the United States

DuPont Liqui-Box Corporation, will increase U.S. prices for all of its pre-made dairy, beverage and bulk food bags.  The increases will range from 10 to 25 percent depending on the product and application.   This increase will take effect on August 1.  Specific increases will be communicated to customers by sales and marketing personnel.
   Over the last two years, DuPont Liqui-Box has restructured and invested in its manufacturing capabilities, making substantial improvements in both quality and productivity.   “At this time, double digit cost escalation in raw materials derived from oil as well as rapid increases in energy, transportation and logistics, affecting companies throughout the value chain, are forcing us to make a structural change to our product pricing” said Roszann Graham, global business director. The magnitude of these sustained increases in the cost of petroleum-based raw materials and energy leave us no option but to pass along some of these costs  This action is necessary to insure the health and viability of our business enabling us to maintain the high service and quality products which our customers expect” she added.
