In 2001, DuPont Canada expanded its film and flexible liquid packaging systems businesses with the acquisition of PrePac SA, a European manufacturer with expertise in vertical form, fill and seal technology for pouch packaging. In 2002, DuPont Canada acquired Liqui-Box, a manufacturer of flexible packaging, rigid packaging, and filling machines. These two acquisitions enabled DuPont to extend its product offering and provide customers with a comprehensive line of liquid packaging system solutions. This group of companies currently operates as DuPont Liquid Packaging Systems, a recognized global supplier of flexible packaging solutions to customers in the food, dairy, wine and beverage industries.
