DuPont Chemical Solutions Enterprise is marking its 15-year tenure in the corrugating industry by announcing additions to its DuPont Krytox® product line and new offerings to the industry. Krytox® perfluoropolyether (PFPE) synthetic lubricant is the most widely used lubricant in the industry for single facer operations.

Using Krytox® grease provides a safe, environmentally sound solution to high temperature lubrication of single facers, which also improves uptime and single facer operating efficiency, thereby creating a "win-win" opportunity to corrugators,said Glenn Halsey, sales manager for DuPont Performance Lubricants . It is safe, non-flammable, chemically inert, and performs at extremely high temperatures.

DuPont Krytox® is introducing several new products and offerings. These offerings include:

• Corrosion inhibited products;
• Corrugator roll coating for surface protection and release;
• Reformulated cleaner and solvent (meets new environmental and safety regulations);
• Consulting services including Krytox® conversions, and plant/companywide
  safety and protection programs.
  

DuPont, which invented PFPE, is the only integrated supplier in the world, and is the only North American manufacturer of fluorinated lubricants. In the mid-1980s, DuPont pioneered the development of PFPE-polytetrafluorethylene(PTFE) grease for corrugator single facer bearings operating at high temperatures, including over 180 degrees Celsius. Krytox® PFPE/PTFE grease eliminated the safety and environmental problems created by recirculating oil lubrication systems and significantly improved single facer productivity.

A press conference was held at the Corrugated Expo in Paris on Monday June 10 to celebrate
the 15th year of the use of Krytox® in the industry, and to announce the availabitity of new products and services for the industry.
