Solamet® photovoltaic metallizations for Thin Film Photovoltaic Applications

DuPont Microcircuit Materials (MCM) has introduced a range of low-temperature screen printable Solamet® photovoltaic (PV) metallizations designed for all major thin film PV applications, enabling more cost-effective manufacturing of solar cells with improved efficiency and yield.  These metallization pastes or inks can be used on both rigid (glass, silicon) and flexible (polyimide, polyester, stainless steel) substrates.

  • Amorphous Silicon (a-Si)
  • Microcrystalline Silicon (µc-Si)
  • Copper Indium Gallium Selenide (CIGS)

Silver Metallizations for grid & bus bar

Key Features:

  • Low temperature curable
  • Strong adhesion to transparent conductive oxide (TCO)
  • Low contact resistance
  • High conductivity
  • Flexible and glass substrate compatible

 

Solderable Silver Metallizations

Key Features:

  • Low temperature curable
  • Solderable for interconnect
  • Silver coated copper base metal compatible

 

Carbon Electrode Materials

Key Features:

  • Back electrode for Cadmium Telluride (CdTe)
  • Low resistivity
  • Low Temperature curable
