As you join the MLDP, you most likely will spend your first year in Wilmington, home to DuPont headquarters, to learn the culture and start building your network. Interns also typically spend their summer in Wilmington.

Wilmington is located in the Greater Philadelphia Area, a comfortable environment for both young professionals and families. About 45% of our Wilmington-based MLDP participants live in the city of Philadelphia. The remainder live in surrounding Pennsylvania and Wilmington suburbs. In this area, you can get the best of city life and country life.  Atlantic City, New York City, Annapolis, Baltimore, Washington DC, and Amish Country are all within a few hours of Wilmington. Both the mountains and the beaches are a short drive away, making day and weekend trips easy to plan.

The area is a hub of activity for young professionals who like to gather in Trolley Square (Wilmington), West Chester and Manayunk (Pennsylvania), and Center City (Philadelphia). Families looking to relocate to the Wilmington area can choose between a wide variety of city and suburban residences with excellent school districts in Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Maryland.
