In MLDP our goal is to build an internal community and to support and give back to the community that we live in.
In July 2009 a group of MLDP interns and full-time participants visited the Ronald McDonald House to bake treats for the children and family members staying at RMH. To provide enough treats to serve 250 people, the MLDP team baked five hundred cookies, ten pans of brownies, five apple pies, and five pumpkin pies. While there the MLDP’s also donated daily necessities collected from the entire MLDP community. We all work together; this was a great opportunity to bake together too!
The Ronald McDonald House of Delaware provides a safe, affordable "home away from home" to families of seriously or chronically ill or injured children who are being treated at area hospitals. For more information: http://www.rmhde.org/.
