Asset efficiency and capital effectiveness, the cornerstones that have helped DuPont navigate turbulent times, are key to Australian industry weathering the global financial storm, according to DuPont Global Vice President of SH&E and Engineering, Jim Porter, who will visit Australia for a one-off briefing this month.
Porter will provide insight into how DuPont Operational Excellence (OE) drives business productivity by applying proven practices and procedures. OE has driven measurable and sustainable business results during some of the company’s most challenging periods.
‘For many companies, including our own, the OE model has become the key to global business competitiveness’, Porter said. ‘DuPont Operational Excellence is a tool that can help achieve improved productivity, up time, yield, reduced waste, and generate energy savings. • reduced our global greenhouse gas emissions measured as CO2 equivalents by 72 percent
• reduced global energy consumption by 6 percent while increasing production by 41 percent
