Kingston Science Fair: And The Winner Is....
Milo Beattie (12) won the DuPont Award at the Kingston Science Fair with his project on Polybricks (a mixture of plastic and concrete). This award opens the doors to the national science fair that will take place in Saguenay, Québec later this year. 135 students between grade 5 and 8 participated in the Kingston fair, one of the largest in Ontario.
Nicolas Cudré-Mauroux, RE&BD Director for DuPont Canada, presented the award to Milo. During a short speech he made, Mr. Cudré-Mauroux noted the high quality of the projects presented and the passion displayed by all participants and organizers.
The award ceremony was also attended by the Honourable Peter Milliken, Speaker of the House, and the Honourable John Gerretsen, member of the Provincial Parliament.
