DuPont Officially Opens Calgary Office
On September 27, 2006, DuPont Canada officially opened an office in Calgary where work will be primarily focused on market and business development. A Press Release was issued on the day of the opening.
"This new beginning for DuPont in Calgary will increase our presence and expand our commitment to the growth of our Alberta and Western Canadian customers and their communities," said our President, Bill White. "For example, our wide range of DuPont products and services – and our know-how – can help the oil and gas industry to improve productivity, reduce its environmental impact and operate more safely, enhance sustainability and help to create even higher value-added products."
Ernie Levinski, DuPont Canada Energy Segment leader, will manage the new Calgary office, which is located at 1015 – 4th Street SW.
"Focusing more resources on the ground in Alberta," said Ernie, "will enable us to work more closely with our customers, better understand their needs, and enhance our capabilities to provide them with effective and timely solutions that draw on DuPont’s global research and technical resources."
There were many special guests at the opening including Mayor Bronconnier of Calgary and Mel Wong, Assistant Deputy Minister for Science and Innovation in the Alberta Government.
