DuPont Volunteer Recognition Awards
Congratuations to the DuPont employees from Canada who recently won the 2006 DuPont Volunteer Recognition Award. Each year, the global DuPont Volunteer Recognition Program recognizes DuPont employees who volunteer as individuals or in teams with non-profit organizations. This recognition includes a certificate for the employee and a cheque for $1000 (USD) for the agency where the employee volunteered. The recent award winners from Canada are volunteers for the Make A Wish Foundation of Southwestern Ontario, the Oshawa Minor Hockey Association, the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Halton.
Excerpt from the Sarnia Observer article:
"DuPont employees Kelly Colver and Kim Heaman have been presented with a 2006 DuPont volunteer recognition award for their work as wish grantors for the Make A Wish Foundation of Southwestern Ontario.
They work at DuPont's St. Clair River Works facility at Corunna.
With Make A Wish, they work as a team to arrange visits with wish children and their families to obtain each child's most cherished wishes.
Supporting the volunteer spirit of its employees worldwide, DuPont is honoring 182 individuals and teams with 2006 volunteer recognition awards. A $1,000 US grant is donated to the organization for which each employee or team performed community service."
