DuPont Canada Announces Leadership Change
MISSISSAUGA, Ontario, December 8, 2008 – Michael J. Oxley has been appointed the President and Chief Financial Officer of DuPont Canada, effective December 1, 2008. Mr. Oxley has served as Chief Financial Officer of DuPont Canada since 2003.
Mr. Oxley takes over as President from William B. White, who elected to retire from the company after more than 34 years of dedicated service. Mr. White became President of DuPont Canada in August 2006. Prior to joining DuPont Canada, Mr. White was Director of Business Improvement at DuPont’s global headquarters in Wilmington, Delaware. He held a variety of global business unit leadership roles during his career, including DuPont Titanium Technologies, DuPont Chemical Solutions Enterprise and DuPont Safety Resources.
Mr. Oxley began his career at DuPont in 1975 when he joined the company’s Financial Services in Montreal, Quebec. In 1979 he was transferred to the Mississauga Corporate office. From 1980 to 1989, Mr. Oxley held a variety of roles in the DuPont Pension Management Unit.
From 1989 to 2000, Mr. Oxley held various Senior Financial Management roles for most of the company’s businesses over that period. In 2000 Mr. Oxley was appointed to the position of Treasurer and Director of Financial Operations and Investor Relations Officer.
In 2003 Mr. Oxley became the Chief Financial Officer of DuPont Canada and Director of Finance for the Nutrition and Health Platform. In addition, in January, 2008, Mr. Oxley became the Director of Customer Care for DuPont in Canada.
Born in Montreal, Canada, Mr. Oxley graduated from the University of Concordia with a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics.
