DuPont marks new Canadian headquarters groundbreaking
MISSISSAUGA, Ontario, June 16, 2011 – DuPont took another step closer toward moving to its new Canadian corporate headquarters with a groundbreaking ceremony today to mark the start of construction of a new, five-storey, 125,000-square-foot office on Minnesota Court in northwest Mississauga. The company is expected to make the move during August 2012.

“This new building will become an important enabler of our collaborative approach in Canada for many years to come,” said Mike Oxley, DuPont Canada’s president and chief financial officer. “We look forward to working with our customers and partners to meet pressing human needs and to grow our businesses sustainably now and in the future.”
The new office will be a Canada Green Building Council LEED Silver Certified building (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design). A number of DuPont’s innovative products for the building and construction market, such as DuPont™ Corian® surfaces and DuPont™ SentryGlas®, will be incorporated into the office design to showcase their value in use. The location of the new building, next to Highway 401, will also help to maintain the familiar high profile of the DuPont Oval logo in the community.
