Kingston Scientist Named DuPont Fellow
Only Second Canadian to Achieve Highest Technical Professional Designation
KINGSTON, Ontario, June 14, 2012 -- Dr. Turgut Mutel, a senior research scientist at DuPont’s Research & Business Development (R&BD) Centre in Kingston, has been named a DuPont Fellow, only the second Canadian employee to have earned this highest technical professional designation within the global company.
“This achievement recognizes Turgut’s career of technical and people leadership in the field of continuous polymerization of polyamides, where he has persistently pushed back the boundaries of conventional wisdom to deliver innovative process engineering science and technology solutions,” said Dr. David Yake, Director of DuPont’s Kingston R&BD Centre.
DuPont Fellows are recognized by their peers as scientists and engineers who define new technologies, influence research direction, and actively mentor less experienced professionals. There are currently only 16 active DuPont Fellows around the world.
