On the  22nd of November the technical seminar on DuPont solutions for coatings&paints industry was held for the current and potential users of Ti-Pure® (titanium dioxide) in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. This seminar was targeted to deliver a deeper knowledge on the brand's properties  to professionals, and was organized by joint efforts of DTT Moscow and a local partner, JV "Decorimex" .
The high pace of economics development in the region of Central Asia is very attractive for the business, and it is the time to put efforts to find the right local partners and users. According to the estimation of SAI market research company the total consumption of titanium dioxide consumed by coating and paints segments of Uzbekistan market was equal  6000 tonns in 2006. This includes titanium dioxide of both premium and low-end quality. DTT sales in 2007 doubled vs 2006 in plastic segment. At the same time DuPont sales numbers demonstrated a very significant increase at the market of coatings, including shipment to UzDongJu Paint, one of the key supplier for UzDaewоо Auto JV,the leading car manufacturer. Local DTT partner made a tremendous success in  promotion of  Ti-Pure®, but it had limited technical knowledge on the product. Combined with customer interest in product properties this resulted in decision to run a seminar targeted at  potential coatings clients.  25 representatives of customers attended this event. Yuri Svistelnikov, Technical Specialist, DuPont Titanium Technologies, made a successful presentation embracing a large spectrum of information on technology, properties and applications of Ti-Pure®.
