On the 3rd of December 2007 in Moscow Customer Interaction Center the round table “New Federal Program “New Federal Industrial safety improvement action program” – new business opportunities”, jointly organized by DuPont, International Business Leaders Forum – IBLF and Russian Ministry of Public Health and Social Development was held. The program makes provisions for the establishment of the fundamentally new state-business relations in the sphere of industrial safety and protection.
The necessity of such a program elaboration came in a long ago, as every year in Russia 150-190 thousands of people die because of the influence of dangerous and harmful factors, 200 thousands get industrial injuries, 10 thousands of industrial diseases are registered. In the framework of the round table the challenges and goals which the program presents to the business were discussed.
Nadezhda Kopeikina, DuPont Safety Resources Business Development Manager, Russia and CIS, made a report “International technologies application in Russia” at the event. She presented to the round table participants DuPont consulting services in the sphere of industrial safety management. The report based on the more than two centuries of learning and application of what has evolved into the world safety practice provoked a vivid discussion in the course of which the round table participants shared their vision of the world experience application in Russian conditions.
«Event such as this stimulates the propagation of the understanding of the necessity of the world industrial safety standards prompt introduction at the Russian enterprises. We are happy to point out that the cooperation with DuPont company in this respect bears its first fruits and we hope to develop this direction in future,» - comments Brook Horowitz, IBLF Executive Director for Russia.
