Four Square Meters of Research Laboratory. DuPont attending StroySib Exhibition

On the 5th -8th of February, 2008 DuPont took part in the StroySib exhibition in Novosibirsk, Siberia. Today StroySib is considered to be one of the most influential construction forums in Siberia, a coordination centre boosting cooperation among construction and engineering companies and organizations in Russia and CIS countries; it is the information exchange centre for  the information on the latest scientific and technological developments.

DuPont’s stand – occupying only four sq. meters – represented a small laboratory where Tyvek® technical specialist Alexey Spitsyn used special tools and devices in order to demonstrate to the stand visitors the advantages of Tyvek® construction applications. Potential customers – representatives of engineering and construction companies – took great interest in infra-red thermometer showings illustrating the energy efficiency of Tyvek®; they also had an opportunity to experience breathable qualities of the membrane, which provides effective wind protection and vapor isolation of buildings. This is especially valuable in Siberia where the frosts are as severe as -50 and façade construction industry is booming.

“All DuPont offerings base on the company’s scientific developments supported by a longstanding tradition of innovations history. We offer to our Siberian construction industry clients the solutions adapted for local applications and responding to the specific needs which are due to the peculiarities of the local climate”, - said Alexey Spitsyn.
