Road construction in the Ural region represents one of the priorities for the Russian government. In 2007 770 bln of rubles were invested in the regional road construction and modernization and it is planned to increase the volume of investments, also at the expense of the governmental Investment Fund. One of the main components of the government strategy in the sphere is the enhancing of the utilization of new equipment and of the application of innovative technologies. This opens broad prospects for the practical application of DuPont high-tech solutions for the road construction among which DuPont™ Elvaloy® copolymers characterized by high flexibility, toughness, weatherability and "soft touch” and Typar®, a spunbonded non-woven fabric made of continuous polypropylene fibers with high tensile properties and excellent water permeability.
«At such events DuPont uses an opportunity to get the government representatives, taking key decisions in the sphere of road construction, acquainted with its high performance solutions in the sphere. I am confident that the application of DuPont scientific solutions will enhance the realization of governmental task to modernize automotive roads in Ural by improving their resistance and durability, that would considerably increase economic effectiveness as well as the safety level of Ural transport”, - comments Boris Ukhov, DuPont Construction industry leader and the head of StPetersburg DuPont office branch.
