DuPont solutions for paint industry

On May 13th a seminar dedicated to use of DuPont Zonyl® products in paints production was held in Moscow DuPont office. Customers from more than 10 paint companies attended the event organized by the DCSE business representatives together with Business Development team.

Christopher J. Martin, DCSE global segment leader, Zonyl® fluoroadditives, made a presentation about the possibilities to use Zonyl® fluorinated surfactants to dramatically  decrease the surface tension of modern paints, that allows end-users to save money and time while enjoying DuPont-enhanced goods. Indeed, traditional, DuPont fluorinated additives allow customers not only to significantly improve technical characteristics of their products, but also keep themselves in competitive pricing area resulting in outstanding marketing performance.

It was emphasized that modern chemical products for surface protection like Zonyl® fluoroadditives can be added not only during the paint production stage, but also to the finished product.

The second part of the meeting was dedicated to Sergey B. Baronov’s, DCSE marketing representative, presentation of Tyzor® catalysts utilized for cross-linking of resins and coating improvements. The discussion of Tyzor® capability to improve adhesion to substrate surface and physico-mechanical characteristics of coatings were especially interesting.

In general all DuPont products presented were found promising by the seminar attendees. As a result DuPont and Russian coating manufacturers agreed to collaborate further.
