DuPont Takes Part in the Press Conference: “Children Of Russia: Health, Safety, Education”

A press conference dedicated to children’s safety was held at the Moscow International Book Centre in advance of the first day of school in Russia. As part of the grassroots approach of the Community Fund, DuPont initiated a project to encourage children to take the initiative in ensuring a safe environment around them.

Prior to the start-up of the conference, DuPont organized the “Dangerous Games Poster Awards” among students from advertising faculties at the universities of Russia, Ukraine, the CIS and Baltic states. The students created posters depicting events or situations that are dangerous or hazardous to health, thus inspiring children to be proactive about their own security as well as that of the people around them. The winning posters will be used to illustrate bookmarkers, which will be distributed for free in Moscow schools.

“DuPont feels hopeful that the project will occupy the attention not only of students and children to the issues of safe conduct, but also the attention of their parents and a wider general public,” remarked Jean-Luc Duramy, Regional General Director of Eastern Europe.
