DuPont is providing consultancy service to SIBUR in industrial safety
The leading Russian petrochemical holding OAO SIBUR Holding and “DuPont” announce launch of a large-scale industrial safety project. In 2009 - 2012 new and improved procedures for occupational health and industrial safety are to be phased at OAO SIBUR Holding enterprises according to the world standards and the best world practices based on behavior risk management.
OAO SIBUR Holding, the leader of the Russian petrochemical industry, has chosen "DuPont" to implement a project aimed at increasing efficiency of industrial safety (IS) management. Industrial safety and health is integral to OAO SIBUR Holding business and is one of its strategic priorities. DuPont has extensive expertise in this area – apart from all-time high safety levels at the company's enterprises it has to its credit more than 1600 projects successfully implemented in partnership with various companies in different industries around the world.
This major project was preceded by assessment of efficiency of IS management system carried out by DuPont consultants at 4 plants of the Russian petrochemical holding company. Based on the assessment results SIBUR Holding drew up a strategic corporate program for industrial safety management. The program is aimed at building a safety culture in the Company, with safety being a key value of the same priority as other business performance indicators, ensured by effective IS management procedures focused on accident prevention through reducing the index of dangerous situations (hazardous conditions and dangerous behavior).
