On the threshold of the 2013 University Games the leading scientific company DuPont held the workshop “Modern Architectural and Construction Solutions: Security, Durability, Power Efficiency and Comfort” in Kazan.
The company’s experts shared their best practices in construction of sports facilities and innovative materials which make the facilities more power efficient, safe and environmentally friendly. The workshop featured DuPont architectural materials: safe art glass SentryGlas® Expressions, SentryGlas® unique technologies, as well as universal architectural materials for creation of perfect surfaces Corian® and Zodiaq®, and nonwoven membranes DuPont™ Tyvek® иDuPont™ Typar®.
“SentryGlas® crashworthy glass not only guarantees safety, but also helps reduce the weight of the whole building and increase its power efficiency”, noted the Candidate of Science Boris Ukhov, head of the Safe Architectural Glazing and Road Solutions in Eastern Europe.
“Application of hydro – windproof membranes DuPont™ Tyvek® can also contribute to reduction of the power consumption. “The recent research shows that installation of the insulating coating DuPont™ Tyvek® can contribute to reduction of the power consumption by up to 40%. In addition these materials increase the durability of structural elements and heat insulation, which results in less funds required to maintain the building. Kazan already has an experience of DuPont™ Tyvek® application – this product was used to construct Kazan Grand Hotel”, informed the Candidate of Science Alexei Spitsyn, technical manager of Construction Innovations in Russia, the CIS and the Baltic States.
