DuPont exhibited its solutions for the aerospace industry at the International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS-2009
DuPont took part in the International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS-2009 held in the Moscow region of Zhukovsky from the 18th till 23rd of August.
DuPont showed its designs prepared for the aero space industry at the exhibition. Thanks to the innovative technologies, the materials of DuPont offer high wear resistance and protection from mechanical damage to equipment.
The hi-tech fibers Nomex® and Kevalr® were shown at Max-2009 that are implemented as part of modern composite materials and in making cellular structures for load-bearing units and compartment interior features. These materials allow a significant decrease in the total weight and an increase in capacity. The materials are also used in producing cable guards, utilities for impact protection, wear protection and fire protection as well as wear resistant and fire-safe fabrics.
Wear-proof aerial parts made of hi-tech polymers and composite materials Vespel® for power units and reverse thrusters, Oasis® composite film insulation for cables and wires in planes, hazard suites Tyvek® and Tychem® for ground maintenance, aircraft producers, overhaul plant and heat-resistant suits for ground refueling teams and for pilots.
"DuPont offers a wide range of innovational solutions for aerial industry, that can allow economy on maintenance charges by providing a high wear resistance of equipment" - said Dmitry Konyshko, Eastern Europe DuPont business development manager.
