DuPont presented modern architectural and construction solutions based on innovation in Chelyabinsk

DuPont held the workshop "Modern Architectural and Construction Solutions: Safety, Durability, Energy Efficiency, Comfort" in Chelyabinsk, Russian Federation.
The workshop was run jointly with Chelyabinsk Plant of Modern Glass. The attendees were architects, designers, representatives of facade design companies. Experts from DuPont presented best practices in construction of residential and public buildings, innovative materials improving energy efficiency, safety and sustainability of facilities.
As an innovation-driven company DuPont annually invests over $1.3 bln in research and development in order to deliver new materials with unique properties.
DuPont has gained extensive expertise in the construction of modern buildings and facilities in many countries. DuPont materials provide safety and esthetics, are durable and energy effective. Hence, DuPont materials are used worldwide in construction of the most advanced facilities.
The workshop showcased the following architectural materials by DuPont: safe decorative glass (SentryGlas® Expressions), unique technologies (SentryGlas® and Spallshield®), and multi-purpose architectural materials for creating perfect surfaces (Corian® and Zodiaq®) and non-woven membranes (DuPont™ Tyvek® and DuPont™ Typar®).

"Laminated glass featuring SentryGlas technology does not only profide safety but also helps reduce the weight of an entire building and make it more cost-effective," observes Dr.Boris Ukhov, Eastern Europe SentryGlass.

"Use of DuPont™ Tyvek® hydro/windproof membranes can also contribute to improving energy efficiency." "According to recent research, installation of DuPont™ Tyvek insulating coats can improve energy efficiency up to 40%.  These materials also enhance the durability of structural elements and heat insulation, which results in lower cost of building maintenance," said Yevgeny Severin, Tyvek ®, Typar ® membranes and Corian ®, Montelli ® Solid Surface Buiding Innovations Representative in the Siberia and Ural Regions.
"As the building industry develops in Russia regions, DuPont offers solutions and materials that help improve the construction process and make buildings as safe, energy-efficient and comfortable as the most advanced world-level facilities. DuPont innovative solutions in construction are important for the economy of funds, especially in the current economic conditions. Advanced technologies require one-off investments, but the use of these materials significantly improves the exterior while ensuring the durability of buildings and facilities, potentially infuencing the life cycle cost of a building. Decrease of expenses on repairs and maintenance reduces operating expenses," emphasized Dr. Michael Fehlings, Business Development Manager Europe, Glass Laminating Solutions.
