Pioneer Advancing Agriculture In Turkey
Turkish Ministry of Agriculture presented to Pioneer Turkey, the most prestigious and honorable award for its contribution to Turkish Agriculture through making the investment for Research and Product development activities and launching new products for Turkish farmers.
At the ceremony, Behzat Ergezginer, Country Manager of Pioneer Turkey, received the award and expressed his gladness with the following mention: “It is extremely rare for such a prestigious award to be presented to a private company and it is the first time that a multinational seed company is awarded this honor in Turkey.”
“The great performance of our new corn hybrids (both for grain and silage production) launched during last 6 years and their unique yield stability created new opportunities for increased income for Pioneer customers in Turkey” emphasized Behzat.
“In addition to our leadership in corn, Pioneer is considered a real innovator for Turkish Agriculture thanks to the development of new sunflower hybrids resistant to broomrape which devastates sunflower production in Turkey, resulting huge losses for farmers. Pioneer® brand sunflower hybrids resistant to broomrape have created new opportunities for farmers and for the crop itself in Turkey”, added Behzat.
Giuseppe Manara, Director, Southern Europe Business Unit, in expressing his special thanks to all of the Turkish team, said “This award for Pioneer in Turkey is another example of how the values of the Long Look continue to drive the growth of our business and reputation in Southern Europe. High yielding products, great strength of our technical support to customers and capability to anticipate the needs of the market are the key elements of this continuing success story”.
