In the DuPont 2007 Annual Review, the company's product pipeline is highlighted.

"In 2007, DuPont was ranked #1 in a quarterly Patent Board 500™ ranking of patent portfolios of companies in all sectors across the globe. With about 2,000 new U.S. patent filings last year-and more than 20,000 patents now in force worldwide-DuPont is determined to maintain its leadership position while creating products that meet market needs," it reads.

The Annual Review showcases a product pipeline timeline focused on key market areas such as food, safety and security, alternative energy and communications.  Some products include next-generation biofuels, nanocoatings for windmills, next-generation communication cabling, high oleic soybeans and thermal garments for life protection.
