Verseidag Oy has been a DuPont customer for the past 12 years, serving as the provider of ballistic vests to police in Geneva, Switzerland. The customer sees DuPont not only as the supplier of
DuPont™ Kevlar®, but also as the point of reference for personal protection.
The Geneva police and Verseidag Oy recently attended an information and training session at DuPont’s European Technical Center in Meyrin. Throughout the day, they viewed several demonstrations. DuPont™ Kevlar® MTP™ (multi-threat protection) Technology was demonstrated to show how it protects against bullets, knives and blunt trauma. The new Kevlar® XP™ also was tested against bullets used by the Geneva police in their service weapons and demonstrated its unique performance by stopping bullets at the third layer of the ballistic pack.
“Organizing seminars and training sessions for our military and police end-users allows us to show DuPont’s solutions and innovations,” said Jeroen Jacobs, business manager, DuPont Life Protection, Europe, Middle East & Africa. “It is also important to remain close to our customers’ evolving needs. These sessions provide us with ‘voice of the customer’ data that we will use to direct our future innovations and development programs.”
The DuPont Personal Protection Public Sector team has already organized more than 20 seminars and training session at the Meyrin Technical Center this year.
