DuPont Professional Products recently announced that DuPont™ Advion® insect granule has been registered by the
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and state approvals are in progress. Pest control and lawn care professionals now have a granular formulation that controls household and commercial pests across a wide range of applications.
Advion® insect granule is a non-repellent bait that is highly attractive to a broad spectrum of insects including ants, cockroaches, silverfish, house and field crickets, and earwigs. The new insect granule features the active ingredient that becomes MetaActive™ inside the insect and has proven horizontal exchange in social insects to reach beyond the insect that initially ingested it. This means pest control and lawn care professionals can expect high performance with minimal impact on non-target species for environmentally smart insect control.
“Since we’ve made Advion® insect granule part of our annual service, we’ve seen a significant decrease in service calls for peridomestic cockroaches, earwigs and crickets,” said Phil “Doc” Nichols, staff entomologist/director at Middleton Lawn and Pest Control in Florida (U.S.). “Its superior performance in mulch beds and other harborage sites, and its low toxicity, are additional reasons why it is a good choice for our business.”
