DuPont Employee Honored for Community Commitment
The Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA) of Delaware recently honored Sylvia Banks , manager, Corporate Contributions and Memberships, for her commitment to the community and non-profit organizations.
“Although it is her job to respond to community needs through funding programs and advising non-profit organizations, Sylvia always performs beyond her job description,” the YWCA citation says. “She ensures that those who need resources from DuPont get the help and support they deserve.”
"While I do accept this recognition on a personal level, I also accept it as recognition of the impact our company has on this community,” Sylvia said. “Through our contributions, presence and participation in activities and projects, we help address issues vital to community sustainability. I'm proud to represent DuPont in these efforts."
