DuPont leaders will help shape global change in workplace safety and health through extensive involvement in the XVIII World Congress on Safety and Health at Work, June 29 to July 2 in Seoul, Korea. In 2005, DuPont was a key sponsor when it was held in the United States.

This year, DuPont is one of two corporations hosting a major symposium, which draws more than 2,500 safety and health experts from across the globe. The “Sharing Best Practices for a Safer and Healthier World Symposium” builds on the theme of this year’s World Congress—Safety and Health at Work: A Societal Responsibility.

DuPont also has been selected to participate in the Safety and Health Summit prior to the World Congress. The summit is a gathering of leaders, who share a goal of placing occupational safety and health high on the world safety agenda.

In conjunction with the World Congress, a special safety progress report will be issued by the charter signers of the World Safety Declaration -- the industry initiative introduced by DuPont at the last World Congress to promote global workplace safety.
