DuPont confirmed its commitment to the development of renewable energy at the recent European Business Summit in Brussels, Belgium, whose theme this year is ‘Greening the Economy – New Energy for Business.’ 

About 100 business leaders and policy-makers attended the summit – where the latest developments and views relating to business challenges and opportunities around climate change, energy policy and eco-innovation were discussed.

“We are facing global challenges that ultimately will affect the ‘liveability’ of our planet in the 21^st century and it is the responsibility of the business community to respond positively and proactively to these challenges,” said Ian Hudson, president, DuPont Europe, Middle East & Africa.   “We see this responsibility as a business opportunity and we have been pioneering the development of renewable energy through products involving solar and wind power.”
