Ellen Kullman Speaks at MIT on Leading Growth
DuPont Executive Vice President Ellen Kullman recently was a featured speaker for the Dean’s Innovative Leader Series, sponsored by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Sloan School of Management, where she discussed “Leading Global Growth by Protecting What Matters Most.”
Ellen said that DuPont is a company in transition -- moving from being a chemical company to a company whose vision is to be the world’s most dynamic science company. What has not changed, she said, are the company’s core values. She noted that two of the core values -- safety and respect for the environment -- have been the basis of significant revenue growth for the company.
“We live in a global economy that requires a customer-focused, collaborative and open-border approach to innovation,” Ellen said. “Improving life requires relationships among countries, companies and people that are reciprocal in nature and that foster an atmosphere of interdependence.”
