Pioneer’s Y Series Soybeans Named ‘New Product of the Year’
Pioneer® brand Y Series soybeans have been selected as AgProfessional magazine readers’ choice for 2008 “New Product of the Year.” The selection was made from a recent vote by AgProfessional readers among 10 products introduced into the agriculture marketplace in 2008. Voting was based on a product’s potential for impact on the agricultural industry and the amount of news and information disseminated about the product.
"The Y Series from Pioneer has represented a step-change in soybean productivity," said Paul Schickler, Pioneer president and DuPont vice president and general manager. "With the Y Series yield advantage, this new line has the potential to add about 19 million bushels of soybeans into U.S. production. In a time of tight supplies and soaring demand, that is a strong boost for producers and the industry."
