DuPont and Polish coatings and paints manufacturer Śnieżka S.A. signed a trademark licensing agreement last week to use the DuPont™ Teflon® brand.
Through the license, DuPont™ Teflon® surface protector will be applied to a range of Śnieżka paints, enamels and wood products, with a targeted market introduction in March.
"Through our cooperation with DuPont, we will offer our customers coatings based on this worldwide recognized technology, giving us a substantial competitive advantage," said Piotr Mikrut, CEO of Śnieżka.
"Cooperation with a leading company like Śnieżka, which has large growth potential in markets in Eastern and Central Europe, represents a key next step for our business," said Jim Forte, global brand & intellectual property licensing manager, DuPont Titanium Technologies (DTT).
Śnieżka is the third producer in Central Europe to use the DuPont™ Teflon® brand in its coatings lines (after Fabryo in Romania and Megachim in Bulgaria).
