DuPont China employees in Shanghai recently moved into a new office building in Zhangjiang Hi-tech Park. During its design, construction and interior decoration, the new building incorporated environmentally smart practices and DuPont products.
Some examples:
-
Renewable and locally-sourced bamboo veneers are a featured element of all office doors as well as flooring for the ground level coffee bar;
-
All utility and pantry areas have built-in recycle stations;
-
DuPont™ Butacite® interlayer, DuPont™ SentryGlas Expressions™ and DuPont™ SentryGlas Plus™ are used for the exterior and interior glass;
-
DuPont™ Corian® and DuPont™ Montelli® solid surfaces are used in the walls, reception desks and coffee bar tables;
-
The two entrance columns and the four coffee bar columns are painted with DuPont™ ChromaLusion® paint; and
-
All stones used for lobby floor and lift lobby walls have been sealed with DuPont™ StoneTech™ Professional sealer.
"The new facility supports DuPont employees and the company's commitment to the 2015 Sustainability Goals," said Stephen Protz, one of the designers and principal of Arc8X Design.
