DuPont Egypt recently funded the printing of 4,000 copies of a children's science book to be donated to public libraries and schools in Cairo, as well as to the State Information Services' local media offices.

The book, Children's Encyclopedia of Scientists, was recognized by the country's Academy of Science and Technology Research for its "simplification" of science.  The first copy of the book was presented to First Lady Suzanne Mubarak at Egypt's book fair for children.

DuPont Egypt combines science and education by targeting elementary school children ages 6-15.  The project highlights DuPont's commitment to the overall educational initiatives that are being pursued by the government of Egypt.

"Being a leading science company, DuPont aims to improve science literacy and to contribute to the expansion of knowledge for children," said Khaled El-Dessouky, country leader, DuPont Egypt.  "We believe that healthy businesses and communities go hand-in-hand."
