DuPont is using its sponsorship of the BMW Sauber F1 team to deliver key company messages to a broad group of people.
In a print advertisement that ran last weekend, DuPont invited more than 120,000 people to its "DuPont Safety & Science Garage" at the BMW Sauber F1 Pitlane Park in Warsaw, Poland. The advertisement ran in Gazeta Wyborcza -- one of Poland's largest daily publications -- to celebrate the success of Polish Formula1 driver Robert Kubica.
"Earlier this month at a recent BMW Sauber F1 team event, a live DuPont™ THERMO-MAN® demonstration showcased the safety performance of DuPont™ Nomex® garments and the protection it provides to the F1 team", said Nicolas Cudre-Mauroux, director, DuPont Advanced Fiber Systems, Europe, Middle East & Africa.
"Nomex® is used in motor sports because it is tough and durable, yet comfortable and breathable," siad Dr. Mario Theissen, motorsport director, BMW Sauber F1. "I have seen the THERMO-MAN® demonstration and it is an impressive reminder of how important it is to protect our drivers with a safe and scientifically-proven material."
