U.K. Bristol Site Supports Double-Decker ‘Playbus’

DuPont recently donated about USD 6,000 to the Bristol Playbus -- a mobile play, youth and community resource for children and their families -- in Bristol, U.K.
The funding, made possible by the DuPont Community Fund, will help to complete the conversion of a double-decker bus into a modern, fully-accessible and well-equipped mobile community play provision. The first deck of the bus provides fun and educational learning about nutrition, safe playing techniques and first aid. The upper deck is a play area for children.
“We chose to support this project because we feel that the bus and its play leaders are instrumental in strengthening families, promoting community cohesion and integrating neighborhoods,” said Suzanne Reeves and Julie Vickery, the DuPont Bristol employees who initiated the company’s support.
