DeLisle Employees Take Safety ‘Out to the Ball Game’

Employees from the DuPont DeLisle site in Pass Christian, Miss., recently discovered a new way to promote off-the-job safety by bringing DuPont core values to their children’s sporting events. The site created a “Youth Sports Safety Sponsorship Program,” which provides personal protective equipment to local youth sports teams.  A durable label recognizing DuPont is attached to donated safety equipment, along with the words “Safety First.”

One of the first safety sponsorships was awarded to Keisha Necaise, an employee in the site’s raw materials group.  Keisha’s son, Ethan, a catcher on a local baseball team, is looking forward to using the new equipment.

“Youth sports teams do not always have the best quality safety equipment, so this is one way we can make a difference,” said Marc Holman, manager, DeLisle site.   “I am proud that our employees created this program to bring DuPont’s core values into our community.”

The DuPont DeLisle site employs 525 people, has operated in Mississippi for more than 25 years, and produces titanium dioxide.   For more information, visit: www.delisle.dupont.com
