The DuPont Ulsan site in Korea recently sponsored Forest for Life -- a civic group that protects forests -- to build the facilities for the disabled at nearby Sunam Park.
The sponsorship allowed the group to construct a new walk road for the disabled, as well as provide guideboard and audio systems for the blind. DuPont employees helped to build the road walk and deck.
“This program has helped to enhance the safety and convenience of our local handicapped community,” said Dong-jin Koh, manager, DuPont Human Resources, Ulsan site. "This donation helps the mission of the company and has been a challenging and exciting experience for our volunteers."
The DuPont Ulsan site has sponsored the Forest for Life group since 2003 as part of the DuPont Community Fund. In 2004, Forest for Life recognized DuPont Korea as a good corporate citizen for its commitment to the environment.
