DuPont in Argentina

DuPont was established in Argentina in 1937, when it opened a rayon plant in the Berazategui subdivision of Buenos Aires province.  Since then, DuPont has become a market leader in the development and introduction of products and solutions that play a significant role in the lives of millions of Argentineans.

With country headquarters in the capital city of Buenos Aires, DuPont Argentina has about 570 employees and six operating sites located in Berazategui, Salto, Martínez, Casilda, Rosario and Pergamino.  More than 30 integral grower services centers are located in strategic places within the country.  DuPont also has a broad paint distribution and marketing network for the automotive industry, composed of 42 “Exact Color” centers.

Between 2002 and 2006, the Great Place to Work Institute has ranked DuPont among the best companies to work for in Argentina.  In 2007, Apertura – a prestigious magazine in Argentina -- ranked DuPont Argentina second on its list of “the best employers of Argentina.”

By providing science-based solutions, DuPont Argentina has been able to adapt to the needs of diverse markets that face substantial changes: agriculture and nutrition, electronics, communications, safety and protection, construction, automotive, refrigerants, and textiles and apparel.  DuPont Argentina has a compound annual growth rate of more than 17 percent in the last three years.
