DuPont Issues Bioethics Guiding Principles Report

The Bioethics Guiding Principles guide DuPont efforts in product research and development.

DuPont recently issued its
Bioethics Guiding Principles Report 2007 -- a document that provides a detailed snapshot of progress toward living the
Bioethics Guiding Principles as new products based on biotechnology are developed, tested and commercialized.
The Bioethics Guiding Principles Report 2007 gives detailed information about some of the recent work to successfully create a sustainable future. The document includes:
- The Bioethics Guiding Principles;
- A summary of our work toward achieving each principle; and,
- The metrics established to measure this work and examples of each.
The Bioethics Guiding Principles were established in 2003 as the framework for a comprehensive stewardship approach to biotechnology and the use of this science to help build a sustainable future. The Principles reflect independent work by the University of Pennsylvania Bioethics Center, along with direct guidance from the DuPont external Biotechnology Advisory Panel and influence from other diverse, international groups.
