According to a Dutch expression, the DuPont Dordrecht Works site in the Netherlands now has “seen Abraham” -- meaning it’s turned 50.  The site celebrated its 50th anniversary yesterday, including receiving congratulations from global Operations leaders via video messages.

In February 1959, the charter for the Dutch operation in The Netherlands was signed.  DuPont Dordrecht started production in 1962 with Orlon®. Today it produces DuPont products including Delrin®, Isceon®, Surlyn®, Teflon® and Viton®.

“This 50th anniversary is a significant milestone and is an important moment to thank all past and present employees for their contribution to the company and thank all our partners and those in the community who helped us,” said Gordon Tait, site manager at Dordrecht and country leader for DuPont Netherlands.
