DuPont Information Technology director John Puckett has been named to Chief Information Officer (CIO) magazine’s Hall of Fame for his significant contributions to the use of information technology in business.

Some of John’s many contributions include:

  • Introducing emerging technology at DuPont to improve Internet protocol (IP) security;
  • Reducing order cycle time by 75 percent;
  • Cutting Information Technology expenses worldwide by more than 40 percent;
  • Creating and developing Sun Network's business worldwide; and,
  • Initiating and managing an award-winning, global five-year strategic plan.

“This award is extremely gratifying and the pinnacle of a long career,” John said.  “What is particularly rewarding is the recognition from my peers in the global community.”

The CIO Magazine's Hall of Fame was created in 1997 to honor the men and women who have helped design and shape the new technology-enabled business landscape. Since its inception, the CIO Hall of Fame has inducted 32 individuals.
