Peter Hemken Appointed to Iowa Power Fund Board

Peter Hemken, vice president & general manager - DuPont Bio-Based Materials and Agriculture & Nutrition, has been appointed to the Iowa Power Fund Board. He was selected to fill one of the board seats designated for private sector representatives.
Created by legislation passed in 2007, the Iowa Power Fund establishes the Office of Energy Independence that will develop an Iowa Energy Independence Plan and conduct an Energy Efficiency Study. The goal of the Power Fund is to invest in cutting edge research and development that is required in the new energy economy.
"This will be a great chance to leverage our research, technology and agronomy expertise to help Iowa achieve energy independence," Peter said. "I am excited to be a member of the board and to showcase our commitment to providing solutions that are renewable, sustainable and match real world needs."
